JAMESTOWN, North Dakota (trfnews.i234.me) – A Portland, Oregon, man is facing charges after a series of strange incidents in rural Stutsman County.
According to court documents, Joshua Koplin entered a home south of Jamestown earlier this week. He was quickly told to leave and was described by witnesses as a one-legged man on crutches.
Shortly after leaving, Koplin was reported at another nearby residence, where he allegedly made bizarre statements. A witness told investigators that Koplin claimed he was searching for his ex-girlfriend, though she was not present.
Authorities say Koplin eventually left the property but was later located and taken into custody. He is currently being held at the Stutsman County Jail in Jamestown.
Koplin now faces the following charges:
-
Two felony counts of criminal trespass
-
One misdemeanor count of criminal mischief
Officials have not released further details about possible damages or the reason for Koplin’s actions.
Criminal trespass in North Dakota is considered a serious offense and can carry significant penalties, especially when multiple incidents occur within a short time.
