POLK COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — Emergency responders were called to the scene of a train and semi-truck collision about 16 miles north of Crookston, Minnesota, on Friday morning.

The crash happened along Highway 75 between Euclid and Angus. According to emergency radio traffic, crews were dispatched to the area of 130th Street Southwest and Highway 75 for a report of a train versus semi collision.

Dispatch audio indicated the truck’s occupant was out of the vehicle and walking around when first responders arrived. The train came to a stop after the collision, and only one train crew member was reported on board. There were no immediate reports of injuries.

Photos and video from the scene show the semi’s cab sustaining visible damage, while the train appeared to avoid major impact. Polk County Sheriff’s deputies and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the crash.

Authorities say the cause of the collision remains under investigation. Traffic along Highway 75 was temporarily affected as responders worked at the scene.

No further details have been released, but officials are expected to provide an update later today. TRF News will continue to follow this developing story.
