Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) – A bizarre manhunt in Polk County ended Friday after authorities located a nude suspect hiding along the Grand Marais Creek, east of East Grand Forks, Minnesota.
According to the Polk County Sheriff’s Office, the incident began around 5:00 a.m. when a homeowner discovered 45-year-old Christopher A. Wilson of Alvarado, Minnesota, naked in their basement. Wilson fled the scene before deputies arrived. A vehicle believed to be his was found nearby, prompting an extensive ground search.
After more than 12 hours of searching, Wilson was taken into custody. The sheriff’s office reported that he was to be held at the Northwest Regional Correctional Center in Crookston. However, as of early Saturday morning, Wilson was not listed as being in custody there. It is unclear whether he was hospitalized or transferred elsewhere after being checked by an ambulance crew at the time of arrest.
Formal charges are expected to be filed Monday. Updates will follow as more information becomes available.
