Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) – An East Grand Forks man is facing multiple felony drug charges after police say they found methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside his home near Riverside Park.
According to a criminal complaint filed in the Ninth Judicial District Court, officers were called to 1015 5th Avenue NW on multiple occasions in July 2025, including reports of property damage and domestic disputes involving Wayne Allen King, 39.
On July 18, 2025, East Grand Forks Police officers responded to a physical domestic report at the residence. Inside King’s bedroom, officers observed syringes and gram-sized baggies in plain view. Field tests on two baggies confirmed the presence of methamphetamine. King also exhibited signs of drug use, including sweating, cotton mouth, and fresh track marks on his arms.
The residence was determined to be within 300 feet of Riverside Park, elevating one charge to third-degree controlled substance crime – possession in a prohibited zone. King also faces fifth-degree controlled substance possession due to prior drug convictions, including cases from 2014 and 2022.
If convicted on the third-degree felony charge, King faces up to 20 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. The case is filed under 60-CR-25-1162 in Polk County District Court.
