GARFIELD TWP, Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) – A bizarre crash involving a motorcycle and an Amish horse-drawn buggy unfolded Friday evening on Highway 32 just south of Fertile, Minnesota.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, 52-year-old Mark Allen Johnson of Mentor was riding his 2023 Yamaha XTZ690 motorcycle northbound when a southbound horse and buggy, driven by 20-year-old Ernest Graber, crossed the center line at 450th Street SW. Johnson swerved to avoid the buggy and tipped over.
Johnson was transported to Crookston Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. He was wearing a helmet, and alcohol was not a factor.
Graber was uninjured, and no passengers were reported. The Polk County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
