The Northwest Regional Corrections Center reported the arrest of the following –
Scott Lee Yost, 48 of Twin Valley, for second-degree assault with a dangerous weapon.
Dustin Robert O’Neill, 28 of Twins Valley, for third-degree burglary, steal/committing a felony, or gross misdemeanor.
The Crookston Fire Department (CFD) responded to the following calls over the weekend –
5/5/2023
At 8:45 a.m., the CFD responded to the 100 block of Sargent St. for a report of a smoke alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be cooking that had caused the alarm to activate. The CFD ventilated the residence, reset the alarm, and cleared the scene.
At 2:00 p.m., the CFD responded to Fairfax Township for a report of a small grass fire. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe and there was no other danger present, the CFD cleared the scene.
At 4:00 p.m., the CFD responded to section 32 of Belgium Township for a report of a large grass fire. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe and there was no danger present, the CFD cleared the scene.
At 9:00 p.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be a false alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.

At 2:00 a.m., the CFD responded to the 2900 block of University Ave for a report of an alarm activation. Upon arrival, it was found to be a false alarm. There was no danger present. The CFD reset the alarm and cleared the scene.
At 4:00 p.m., the CFD responded to section 29 of Fairfax Township for a report of a small ditch fire. Upon arrival, the CFD was able to contain and extinguish the fire. Once the area was deemed safe and there was no danger present, the CFD cleared the scene.
