Polk County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Fire crews were called to a combine fire in Polk County on Wednesday afternoon, prompting a quick response from area departments.

The fire was reported west of Fisher and southeast of East Grand Forks. Initial reports indicated firefighters had difficulty extinguishing the blaze, with embers blowing into a nearby bean field. Crews worked to contain the hotspots and prevent further spread.

According to early information from the scene, East Grand Forks firefighters assisted with the response. Officials later confirmed the fire was brought under control. No injuries were reported in connection with the incident.

At this time, the cause of the fire has not been released. Farm equipment fires are a recurring issue during harvest season, often fueled by dry crop residue and mechanical problems. Farmers are encouraged to keep equipment cleaned regularly to reduce fire risk.
