Police Killer Encounter

CASS COUNTY, ND (trfnews.i234.me) The Cass County, North Dakota Sheriff’s Office has released body cam video of a deputy’s encounter with Mohamad Barakat at a shooting range near Fargo on May 4, 2023. On July 14th he shot 3 Fargo Police Officers, killing 1 of them, before he was shot and killed.
[Music] hello hi hi we just got called by the game well the guy who own the range and he just wanted to make sure no one’s shooting cannons out here which I don’t see anything was there someone out here just a little bit that was shooting something similar to that neighbor down there heard something that rattled him rattled his house so I didn’t know if someone shot I talked to the owner as long as it’s nothing 50 calor or above 50 cal he doesn’t care what gets shot out here but I didn’t know if someone was out here shooting something super super loud that you guys seen uh I could care less maybe maybe I would say that was the exploding targets oh was there some exploding targets out here okay yep were you were you guys shooting the exploding targets that was me oh that was you okay I don’t care what you guys do on the Range it doesn’t bother me I’m it’s not my big deal it’s a private range owned by this guy he just doesn’t want the noise to affect the neighbor so I probably just wouldn’t shoot any more exploding targets out here we had like I have like literally two left so you want me to shut it down I already mixed them that’s the issue oh okay I would if you’re let me call him quick let me just make sure I don’t want to sure it’s his range I don’t want to give him make a decision for him what’s it mixed with just a pretty much a regular exploding tar he has a ah hey it’s Josh again just so you know was exploding targets he has two out there still are those not allowed okay I will tell him to shut it down with those so okay perfect I’ll just notify him that he can’t shoot any further of those okay perfect okay okay perfect easy enough thank you so that was the owner he just says he can’t shoot those anymore so you won’t be able to shoot those you have your IDE on you that’s going to be right over here okay he just said that if it happens again this is a warning you’d be trespassed if it happens again okay okay yeah like I said you’re not in trouble with makes a hell of a mess I’m uh Bor member the cast we only do just uh uh case for or uh call trying to pick all this stuff up at the end of so we do a call for service with notes and it and then I add his name to it so that way he’s notified about the trespass and stuff out there T out here I’m DED yep yep if you know some friends out in the country maybe where and if there um if you guys have issues with any of that stuff like I said we call for service that way you guys can go after them if um in case of like this stuff since it’s a range and there’s potential damages usually they go after them civy for stuff like that um just cuz there is that natural potential come here you’re filling garbage bags and the next day you come out there’s just like more stuff yeah yeah yep no absolutely we do this for the public okay wish we just wish everybody would respect it yeah I was just gonna say I got guys that came out here so perfect that Jessie yeah it is Jessie Gerald Gerald being now the issue once you mix them okay so you you preix them and put them out there and they’re pretty much right over here on this scene but now I cannot transport okay the good news it’s no more than a fertilizer so if you drop it on the ground it’s not going to cause any harm yep I don’t know what you we’re definitely not trying to chase you guys off just no no that was me honestly are you able to disassemble or no at all would you please come with me so you can see exactly what I’m shooting or that’s going to be well I guess they store bought Tanner right it’s pretty much half of Shell’s tan right that’s exactly what we were shooting yeah they’re not they’re not going to detonate unless you did it with a high velocity round anyway correct but it’s still by the federal law I cannot trans sport them like take them with me so I’m just wondering it’s dissolvable by water so do you want me to dissolve it yeah I mean if you want if you want to dump them out that’s that’s totally fine yeah I mean it’s really echo-friendly it’s not going to cause any harm by just Ura fertilizer is all it is yeah no and I was getting out was the actual Transportation that’s my concern because I know you guys don’t want him shooting it but I can’t have him driving with it so we had that exactly so but that’s fine whatever you need to do to destroy them out here but yeah like I said you can’t can’t shoot them and you can’t transform them so I cannot shoot them I cannot take them in the car with so yeah if you just want to dissolve them in the water that’s perfectly fine yeah I know time to clean up did you guys have any questions for me no all right I like I told uh Jesse we’re have cameras out here pretty quick so yeah we’re putting up some new camera system and okay we’re going to have a range clean should be good sir okay thank you yeah we’re going to do a spring clean up here okay not soon enough the way it looks go ahead do you know when your range C up will be cuz but don’t know last and yeah we’ve been out here garbage bags then spring members only shoots on Tuesdays out here so if you’re not a member you got to go but if you’re a member you can use the facility yeah I mean we’re always looking for extra help you know somebody last we shot a door out here I heard that yeah that’s stupid people have no respect yeah yeah we’re putting we’re putting cameras up I think facing the entrance and facing the range so at least we plates say pling on the sign no Tannerite right there when we walking in I live right on the corner like it’s fun stuff you’re the one that over here I live right uh one block in oh okay I know cuz Jesse called me and said he thought he heard a cannon or someone had heard a cannon over by the unity building and I’m like damn we should a cannon out this way I like I was just out this way I called him and said I’m coming to I know exactly what I’m off all well I’ll get out of your guys’ hair but well I appreciate
