Pine River, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Pine River teen on probation is now facing a felony drug charge after allegedly attempting to hide methamphetamine in a squad car during transport.

According to court records, on June 25, 2025, Cass County Deputy Andrew Rugloski was dispatched to remove Gavin Lee Wolmutt, age 18, from private property on 28th Avenue. The caller reported underage drinking and trespassing.

Wolmutt, who is under probation supervision and prohibited from consuming alcohol, blew a .097 BAC on a breath test and was arrested for probation violation. While being transported, Deputy Rugloski observed Wolmutt moving suspiciously in the back seat.

Upon arriving at the Cass County Detention Center, a micro-baggie containing 1.07 grams of meth was found under the seat. The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Wolmutt is now formally charged with felony 5th-degree drug possession.
