Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) — A pickup truck slammed into the side of a strip mall in Bemidji, Minnesota, on Monday evening. The crash happened near Hardee’s along Paul Bunyan Drive, sending debris across the parking lot and startling nearby businesses.
According to witnesses, the pickup appeared to lose control before striking the building. The collision caused visible structural damage to the storefront, with glass and debris scattered on the sidewalk. Emergency crews responded quickly to secure the area and assess the damage.
As of Monday night, no injuries have been confirmed. Authorities are investigating what led to the crash, but early reports suggest the driver may have swerved to avoid another vehicle or object in the roadway.
Several nearby businesses temporarily closed as crews worked to remove the vehicle and inspect the building’s stability. Cleanup efforts continued into the evening, with caution tape surrounding the crash site.
This is not the first time a vehicle has collided with a commercial building in northern Minnesota. Local safety officials urge drivers to remain alert, particularly in busy retail zones where pedestrian and vehicle traffic are heavy.
Further updates will be released once official reports are available.
