Perry Haugo – Obituary

In Memory of Perry Haugo, the real O.G.
Perry Haugo was more than my Great Uncle; he was a father figure, a friend, a storyteller, a jokester, and much more. He and his brother took on the responsibility of raising us kids for some time while our parents were in school. I remember always being excited when Perry would drive us to school in the mornings. He helped create so many memories with us at the farm that will last forever. One of my favorite memories is when one frosty morning, he woke me up to help feed the cattle. He walked me down to the feed truck and showed me how to open the door on the back of the truck and fill a bucket with feed. Then he helped me pour the feed in the trough, and while the cows were eating, he helped me pet them while they ate. He always made it fun staying at the farm. No matter where he was, he was either telling jokes or some stories from his younger years. Either way, everyone in the room was laughing. He just had a way to bring joy and smiles to everyone around. He was also a very caring and supportive man; he was always there whenever the family needed him. He wasn’t afraid to help when we asked for it, he’d usually have a solution or just an idea to fix my issue. He was such a great influence in my life and left me with many happy memories. He was an all-around great guy and I’m going to miss him; things are never going to be the same with him gone.
