The Pennington County Government center opened its doors at noon on Tuesday.

During Tuesday morning’s Pennington County Board meeting, Emergency Manager Erik Beitel requested more public access at the Government Center. The Center houses Inter County Nursing and has been accessible only by appointment due to Covid-19 and the commissioner’s order to remain closed. Beitel said that lack of access was slowing down the vaccination process at the Inter County Nursing office. Beitel felt that if people could just walk-in without having to call first, Inter County could vaccinate more efficiently.

After consideration, the county commissioners approved a motion to unlock the access doors as of noon Tuesday, however interior door access to each office will be left to each department head.
