Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me) — A bizarre and chaotic arrest unfolded in Thief River Falls on June 13, 2025, as Cory Lee Dembiczak, 42, of Emerado, North Dakota, now faces multiple charges following an indecent exposure and police evasion incident.

According to court documents, Officer Craig Williams spotted a suspicious vehicle. He later identified the male passenger as Cory Dembiczak, who attempted to give a false name and then fled from police on foot. During the scuffle, an intern officer was injured, and Dembiczak broke free, jumping into the Red Lake River, where he stripped naked in front of children and families at a nearby dock.

Dembiczak ultimately surrendered and now faces:

  • Count I: Indecent Exposure (Gross Misdemeanor)

  • Count II: Driving After Cancellation – Inimical to Public Safety (Gross Misdemeanor)

  • Count III: Fleeing Police on Foot (Misdemeanor)

  • Count IV: Giving Police a False Name (Misdemeanor)

Dembiczak’s extensive criminal history includes felony DWI, drug manufacturing, theft, and multiple driving violations.
