Pennington County (trfnews.i234.me) – A man is in custody at the Pennington County Jail after being arrested for a disturbing assault charge. According to jail records, David Kostrzewski was booked on May 6, 2025, following allegations of 5th-degree assault.

Kostrzewski, standing 5’11” and weighing 200 pounds, with brown hair and blue eyes, was held without bail at the time of booking. No official court date has been listed yet, but records show the case will proceed in District Court.

The formal charge against him is under Case #2024805203 for violation of Minnesota Statute 609.224.1 — Assault in the Fifth Degree, classified as a misdemeanor. Despite the misdemeanor level, Minnesota law treats assaults seriously, especially if they involve repeat offenses or occur under aggravating circumstances.

At this time, detailed information regarding the circumstances of the alleged assault has not been released to the public. Authorities are expected to disclose more once Kostrzewski appears before a judge.

Kostrzewski remains in custody as the case moves through the court system.
