Pennington County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Police responded to a two-vehicle crash near Sanford Wellness Center in Thief River Falls on Sunday, September 1.
According to the report, the accident happened at about 2:54 p.m. on the frontage road near the wellness center. Kimberlee Miller of Thief River Falls was driving a 2003 Chevy Tahoe on the frontage road when the crash occurred. At the same time, Elizabeth Stoe of Roseau was driving a Honda CR-V and attempting to cross the frontage road to reach the stoplights.
As Stoe crossed the roadway, her vehicle was struck by Miller’s Tahoe. Both vehicles sustained damage in the collision. Despite the impact, there were no known injuries. Emergency medical services were not required, and both drivers remained at the scene to speak with officers.
Authorities did not release details regarding the extent of vehicle damage or whether either driver faced citations. The roadway was cleared shortly after the crash, and traffic flow returned to normal.
Intersection-related accidents remain one of the most common types of crashes in Minnesota. According to state traffic officials, failure to yield and crossing traffic are frequent causes of collisions on frontage and connecting roads. More information about traffic safety in Minnesota can be found through the Minnesota Office of Traffic Safety.
Police continue to remind drivers to remain alert when crossing frontage roads and to watch for oncoming traffic. The case remains under review, and no further updates are immediately available.
