Thief River Falls (trfnews.i234.me) – A pedestrian accident in Hugo’s parking lot in Thief River Falls on March 24 prompted an emergency response after a woman was struck by a vehicle while walking in a designated crosswalk.
According to a report received by local media on April 4 from the Law Enforcement Center, the incident occurred at 3:57 p.m. when Constance England, driving a 2002 Jeep, struck Alicia Nissen, who was walking in the pedestrian walkway at the time.
Sanford Ambulance was called to evaluate Nissen following the incident. There has been no confirmation of serious injuries, but further details on her condition were not released.
Authorities have not reported any citations or further legal action at this time. The incident serves as a reminder of the need for vigilance by both drivers and pedestrians in busy commercial areas.
