Pat was born on April 17th 1947 to Odo and Irene (Miller) Trudel, in Grand Forks, where she graduated from St James in 1965. She married Gerald Gausvik in 1967 and they were blessed with two daughters, Kristen and Jacqueline. She joined Jerry in the insurance industry. After raising her daughters she earned her degree from UND in Political Science. A highlight for her was interning for Senator Dorgan, and living in Washington DC. She moved to Scottsdale AZ and enjoyed more than 30 years there. She relocated to MN to be close to her family. She was politically active and served as an election judge for many years. In addition to politics, she also had love for shopping. She had a flare for fashion, diva sunglasses, purses and bright lipstick.
She is preceded in death by her Mother, Father, Grandparents, Brother, and beloved Husband. She is survived by her daughters Kristen (Cory) Barschdorf, Jacqueline Gausvik (Al Olson), and grandchildren Allen and Ashley Olson, Drew, Kate, and Abby Barschdorf and Great granddaughters Alliyah and Ariya Olson. Memorials preferred to The Cancer Society of America or The Humane Society. Funeral arrangements are pending.
