Hey man, I have a question, how do you find out about this stuff? I watch tv news yet they never seem to mention this kind of stuff that happens in small towns and just ya know random incidents. Is there an app you have or ?
shoreline aint too far away. Is the truck already resting on bottom?
Ya im sure the ice is plenty thick this year to drive a loaded fricking semi on.
Make a nice little island for the walleyes. Just dump it and charge dnr.
My father drove truck on the ice up there for years. Ice should be good enough this time of year. The odd accidents do happen. No pitchforks please. This is the way of life up there.
It was the added weight of the rocks in the drivers head that caused this, rocks on ice, rocks in head.
Why was even on ice lake wood truckers? Lol glad driver was safe
With the border closed that ice road is the only access the Northwest Angle has to the rest of the US.
sorry, flag island is hardly at the north end of lake of the woods…if it was, then it would be in kenora…flag island is located about the middle of the lake…perhaps, google lake of the woods and flag island…i grew up around the entire lake of the woods
The date on the calender has NO BEARING on the quality of the ice! It's been warm and most of the initial freeze up this year was slush ice. With the above freezing weather and road salt that falls off the vehicles that use this ice road, and you've got rapidly deteriorating ice conditions.
Got too close to the road edge
Back in the day, most lakes in Northern Minnesota had an old car parked on the lake out behind the local bar. Would pay a dollar to guess the date and time that it fell through the ice in the Spring. Closest guess took the pot. March 2nd seems pretty early though!
Why would you bring a semi on the ice
Wow crazy, driving on ice roads can be super scary
Driving too close to the bank
Decades ago I remember a friend and I riding Honda ATC 90 and 110 three wheelers and going through the ice in early March in southeast Minnesota. You really don’t want to get soaked in coveralls when it’s 35 degrees out. We found out that the ATC’s we drove floated if you were not on them.
Please help them Lord to safely remove this truck.
To all the negative comments: #1 this company trucks on this lake ice all the time, not the first rodeo for them. #2 The tuck was out hours later and rock isn't hazardous cargo. # 3 Sometimes work isn't done in a cubicle, real life takes grit. # 4 Do you honestly think a metropolitan freeway is safer than the ice road?
Please include gps waypoints, that will make some great walleye structure for ice fishing next year.
God damn MN block heads
Completely ridiculous how people find a way to bring up Trudeau, Trump and Biden's name with this story and continue on with divisive politics. Give it a rest people. Sheesh!
Portage lake in Cass Co. Had a train fall through the ice. years ago.
But climate change isn’t real, right? I don’t think that would have had that problem in central MN… People call it global warming, but it’s a paradox!
I grew up in MN. What kind of idiot would even think about taking a truck full of rock across the ice?
Not been cold enough to trust the ice…know it or dont try it
Just save the tractor-trailer let the rest of it sink B good structure. Or drain all the fluids and fuel and let the tractor trailer and everything go.
The surrounding ice is nowhere near white. Who gave the OK to drive on it with that kind of load????
Never knew falling thru the ice was political 😂🤣😂🤣😂
boss has 2 eat the bill.
Who's the jackass standing 10 feet away from it? You can't fix stupid!
Thats gunna be an expensive recovery lol
Wreck Diving.. on a semi..
Of course the Diesel fuel and oil will kill lots of fish..
Exon Valdez of Minnesota
Those frigging ice roads give me so much anxiety

Flag Island… once again Neil gets it wrong on his Scanner Chaser News Network… they probaly have better things to do than talk to the Fake Newz of the North
🎶 please help me , I'm falling
Famous last words I can bet that were spoken before the incident " there's plenty of ice"
It’s called structure, once the fuel dissipates
Dumbass
Idiots
wtf
If anything it will sure make. A nice fishing reef
WHO ORDERED the water on rocks drink?
Heavy vehicles create a wave ahead when traveling at certain speeds. This fractures the ice and can result in this or worse even when the ice is very thick.
Why would he go on the ice….?
He's hauling rock that ain't a good thing although if they dump them before they pull him out that'll be a great little piece of structure
How Fn stoopid can you be?
Hold my beer…
Waypoint that spot
