Park Rapids, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Abigail Adeline Gartner, 31, of Park Rapids, is facing felony drug possession and gross misdemeanor DWI charges after a July 3 traffic stop in Hubbard County.

Sheriff Cory Aukes initiated the stop after witnessing erratic driving, including swerving and nearly causing a collision. Abigail was traveling at 70 mph in a 55 mph zone and appeared disheveled with bloodshot eyes. Field sobriety tests showed signs of impairment.

Deputies found 2 grams of methamphetamine in her purse and noted she was already on probation for previous DWI convictions in 2015 and 2023. Abigail admitted to possessing the meth and said she got it from her mother’s residence.

She now faces:

  • Felony 5th-degree meth possession

  • 2nd-degree DWI for controlled substance impairment

A blood sample was obtained via warrant, and further evidence is pending.

Gartner remains in custody, and the case is under further investigation.
