Everts Township, Otter Tail County (trfnews.i234.me) — A chain-reaction crash involving three vehicles—and a fourth that fled—sent a driver and teen passenger to the hospital in Everts Township on Saturday afternoon, May 31.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, all vehicles were heading southwest on Highway 78 near 160th Street when traffic suddenly slowed. Three vehicles collided, and a GMC pickup, also involved, reportedly left the scene before officers arrived.
Injuries were reported in a 2008 Dodge Avenger, driven by 20-year-old Damaris R. Campbell of Perham, and his 15-year-old female passenger, who were both transported to Perham Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Occupants of the other two vehicles—a 2005 Chevy Impala and a 2015 Ford Edge—were not injured. All parties wore seatbelts, and alcohol was not a factor.
Authorities are still searching for the unidentified GMC pickup involved in the crash.
