Otter Tail County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Mitchell Lee Peterson, 34, of Ottertail, Minnesota, is facing felony drug and DWI charges after being found unconscious in his pickup truck with methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia inside.
Wadena Police discovered Peterson asleep in his vehicle, unresponsive even as his dogs barked. Deputies noted his dilated pupils, erratic behavior, and anxious sweating. A field sobriety test showed no alcohol, but further investigation revealed glass pipes, marijuana, and over 1.8 grams of methamphetamine inside his vehicle.
Peterson initially denied meth use but later admitted to having used the drug weeks prior. A urine sample confirmed the presence of amphetamine and methamphetamine.
Peterson now faces the following charges:

Count I: Fifth-Degree Controlled Substance Possession (Felony)

Count II: Third-Degree DWI – Any Amount of Schedule I/II Drug (Gross Misdemeanor)
Authorities also noted he has a prior DWI conviction from 2016.
