Otter Tail County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A 35-year-old Hutchinson man is facing felony and misdemeanor domestic assault charges after allegedly placing his father in a dangerous headlock during a late-night confrontation.
According to court documents, Alexander William Cline was intoxicated when he allegedly threw his father to the ground and strangled him, making it difficult for the father to breathe. The incident occurred around 2:00 a.m. on June 13, 2025, at a residence on Lake Ave in Battle Lake.
The victim, identified as Cline’s father, L.C., was able to escape and call 911. Responding Officer Timothy Sweazey noted visible injuries, including a swollen lip and red marks around the throat. Cline’s girlfriend confirmed to police that Cline had indeed put his father in a headlock.
