Osnabrock Woman Sentenced For Langdon Bar Assault
LANGDON, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) — A woman has been sentenced in connection with a July bar fight that sent another woman to the hospital in Langdon, North Dakota.
Aliaa Janis of Osnabrock pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor assault related to the incident outside a Langdon bar last summer. According to court records, officers responded to the altercation in July, where the female victim was later transported to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.
As part of her sentencing, Janis was ordered to serve six days in jail, time already credited for the six days she previously spent in custody. She was also sentenced to two years of probation and issued a no-contact order preventing communication with the victim.
The case was handled in Cavalier County District Court. Prosecutors agreed to reduce the original charge as part of a plea deal. The court noted that Janis must comply with all probation conditions to avoid further jail time.
Langdon authorities have reminded residents that disorderly conduct and assaults outside licensed establishments are taken seriously, especially when injuries occur.
