BENSON COUNTY, ND (trfnews.i234.me) One man drowned and two other men survived, after their airboat sank on Pelican Lake 13 miles west of Devils Lake, North Dakota on Saturday.
one man has died in a North Dakota boating accident it happened on Pelican Lake which is just north of the far west end of Devil’s Lake which now all runs together I just talked with Benson County Sheriff Steve Rohr who says the three men were fishing in an airboat Saturday when the airboats started taking on water and sank two men made it to shore the third man drowned the victim has been identified as 52 year old Jim Kirk I D of pheasant in North Dakota the sheriff didn’t have the names of the two men who survived available but he tells i-news they were both from Langdon the sheriff says the trio had life jackets on the boat but none of them had time to put them on he says much of the lake was still covered with ice I’m Neil Berg reporting for i-news TV
