Onamia Township (trfnews.i234.me) – On December 9, 2025, at 11:30 AM, a 1998 Chevy GMT-400 pickup truck rolled off the road on Highway 169 near 330th Street in Onamia Township, Mille Lacs County. The truck was traveling southbound when the driver, 32-year-old Justin Hunter Durham from Milaca, MN, lost control due to icy conditions.
Durham, who was wearing his seat belt, suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the incident. Fortunately, the vehicle’s airbags did not deploy during the crash. No alcohol or helmets were involved. The driver was assessed by responding emergency services, but he did not require transportation to a medical facility.

The icy road conditions contributed to the crash, and the incident temporarily blocked traffic as the Mille Lacs County Sheriff’s Office, Mille Lacs PD, Fire, and Ambulance responded to the scene. Onamia Fire personnel also assisted.
