Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) — Scott Sven Heydel, 35, of Oklee, faces a felony domestic assault charge.

Police say he struck his four-year-old child during a clothing drop-off in Fosston.

The case was reported to the police by Polk County Social Services on January 23, 2026.

The charge is filed under Minnesota Statute 609.2242.

What the police say happened

According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened on January 17, 2026.

The child was sitting in Heydel’s vehicle with the family dog.

A window was partly open, and the dog tried to jump out.

Police say the child rolled the window up by mistake.

The dog’s head was caught between the glass and the frame.

A witness helped free the dog, according to the complaint.

Police say Heydel then reached through the window and punched the child’s face.

Witnesses told investigators the child flew back into the car seat.

Police say Heydel yelled and swore at the child after the punch.

Investigators later saw photos showing a red and swollen cheek, police say.

  1. This guy is a pos. He is awful to his kids and pets. He lies so much he thinks it’s true, can’t be a manager of anything in MN if you are a felon which he already was before this. He can’t seem to work or tell the truth or be respectful. Pos.

  2. Dude a p.o.s!!! Who punches a 4 year old ! And not to mention he is a crook and a shity business man.he steals people’s money and never commits. Oh and still owes me 7500 as well !

    1. Ralph Curiel this guy is a pos. Do not give him money. He is not to trust. He cannot fix anything correctly either. He now tells people he is a manager of an apartment complex but no one likes him and his name is no place on the lease either so legally he is nothing. His mother was a landlord not owner but she’s too scared to do the job so gave it to her criminal crook baby boy. I think their both crooks at this point. He’s a dipsh%t and awful to his kids and dogs.

  3. Hopefully he goes to prison where he belongs for a long time. He is awful to his children and his dogs. Instead of leashing the dogs he screams at them and chokes and throws them. He’s an awful person. I’ve heard him saying mean things to the kids too. He is a loser and needs to get a job. He calls others in building names such as riff raff but no one has as many felonies as Scott Heydel does. He’s a lifetime criminal. That’s why he’s so desperate to marry someone, anyone. Scott is such a loser. I knew that after speaking to him once. Blaming his exs for all his problems. Can’t ever man up and tell the truth.
