Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A woman from Ogema is now facing multiple charges after crashing into a power pole and failing to report the damage.
Authorities say Priscilla Jo Bevins, 51, was driving a borrowed vehicle in the White Earth area when she struck a utility pole owned by Ottertail Power Company, causing significant damage. According to police, Bevins did not report the crash, but was later identified through witness accounts and damage to the vehicle.
The incident was investigated the next day by Officer Matt Brun, who matched vehicle debris and damage at the scene with a damaged truck found nearby. Bevins admitted to hitting the pole and confirmed she knew her license was canceled due to being deemed “inimical to public safety.”
Bevins has been charged with:
-
Driving After Cancellation – Inimical to Public Safety (Gross Misdemeanor)
-
Failure to Notify Owner of Damaged Property (Misdemeanor)
