Tiffany Ann Hoban, 39, of Ogema, faces one count of driving while impaired. The charge alleges an alcohol level of 0.08 or more.
What the police say happened
According to the criminal complaint, the incident happened on November 18, 2025. The time listed is about 9:01 p.m.
Law enforcement reported a vehicle swerving on U.S. Highway 59. The location was near County Road 11.
Officers said the vehicle crossed the center line several times. They also said it crossed the fog line.
A traffic stop followed, according to the complaint. Hoban was identified as the driver.
The complaint says food was on her mouth and lap. Officers believed she was trying to eat quickly.
A 9-year-old child was found in the backseat, the complaint states.

Field tests and blood test
Hoban first denied drinking, the complaint says. She later said she had four beers earlier that day.
The complaint says she showed signs of impairment during field tests. It cites swaying and hopping on one test.
Police say Hoban refused a preliminary breath test. A judge-authorized search warrant was later used.
A blood sample was collected after the arrest, the complaint says. The state lab later tested the sample.
Results from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension list a blood alcohol level of 0.171. That is more than twice 0.08.

Hoban is charged under Minnesota Statute 169A.20, subdivision 1(5). That section covers alcohol concentration within two hours.
