Becker County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — Eric Scott Lindsay faces new charges after a call near Ogema.

A criminal complaint says deputies and White Earth Police went to a home at 8:01 a.m. on February 3. The report said someone threatened people with a bat.

What investigators say happened

Deputies spoke with an adult woman at the scene. She said she previously dated Lindsay. She said he was at her home and acted aggressively.

The woman said she told him to leave. She said Lindsay pushed her down. She said he then spat on her face.

The woman said a friend was also at the home. She said the friend argued with Lindsay. She said Lindsay then grabbed a bat.

The woman said she locked herself inside the home. She said Lindsay kicked open the door. She said she called 911 right away.

What Lindsay told the police

Deputies later spoke with Lindsay, according to the complaint. He said he was trying to leave. He said the woman would not let him go.

Lindsay admitted he forced his way into the home, the complaint says. He said he pushed the door open. He also admitted he pushed the woman.

Lindsay told police he did that after she pushed him first. Investigators will present the claims in court.

Charges and court process

Prosecutors in Becker County charged Lindsay with two felony counts of first-degree burglary. One count alleges a person was in the building. Another count alleges a dangerous weapon.

He also faces misdemeanor charges. They include domestic assault and damage to property.

Charges are allegations. Lindsay is presumed innocent unless a court finds him guilty.
