Rose Boucher, 94 of Thief River Falls, MN passed away peacefully on Monday, September 16, 2024 at Home Sweet Home in Hibbing, MN with her loving family by her side.
The funeral service to celebrate Rose’s life will be at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church in Thief River Falls, MN with Rev. Alex Amiot officiating. The visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery in Thief River Falls.
Rose Isabell Vake was born August 2nd, 1930, daughter of the late Hans and Alice (Bender) Vake at Thief River Falls, MN. She was baptized in Oklee, MN by Pastor J.K. Lerohl and confirmed in the Christian faith at Clearwater Lutheran Church near Plummer, MN. She attended school in the Thief River Falls area and moved with her family to the Iron Range in 1951.
Rose worked at the Herberger Department Store in Hibbing for two years and later at the factory in Chisholm in the sewing department for 25 years.
On August 3rd, 1953, Rose was united in marriage to Leonard X. Boucher at Hibbing, MN. After Leonard and Rose retired in 1995, they moved back to Thief River Falls after living on the Iron Range for 43 years.
Rose enjoyed baking, shopping, and visiting with her family.
Rose is survived by her daughter, Terri (Todd) Wilman of Buhl, MN; sister-in-law, Joan Vake of Chisholm, MN; grandson, Travis (Rachel) Pickle of Thief River Falls; great-grandchildren, Aidan, Parish, Gracie & Sarah; plus, many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends.
Rose is preceded in death by her husband, Leonard; her parents; brothers, Franklin & Andrew Vake; sister, Isabell Vake; sister-in-law, Grace Vake; and beloved dog, Misty.
