Robert Paul Hamlin Jr., 52, of Warroad, MN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at Altru Hospital in Grand Forks, ND, with his loving family by his side.
Robert was born on November 15, 1972, in New Orleans, LA, to Robert Paul Hamlin Sr. and Linda Lou (Boutain) Hamlin. He spent many years as an over-the-road truck driver, a career that allowed him to explore the open road while providing for his family. Robert was living in Warroad, MN, with his soulmate, Lenora Gorsuch, and their beloved son, Alex.
A devoted father and family man, Robert cherished time spent with his loved ones. He especially enjoyed taking Alex fishing and sharing his love of music by playing guitar. His family meant everything to him, and he took great pride in being a father. Those who knew Robert will remember his kind spirit and the joy he brought to their lives.
Robert is survived by his soulmate, Lenora Gorsuch; his son, Alex Hamlin; his mother, Linda Hamlin; and his brother, Calvin Hamlin, along with Calvin’s family. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert P. Hamlin Sr.; his infant sister, Darla Hamlin; his grandparents, Alex and Sadie Boutain and Ralph and Marion Hamlin; as well as several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Noon on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, in Thief River Falls, MN. Due to inclement weather, the service will take place indoors at the funeral home.
