Robert Bregier, of Thief River Falls, MN, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 21, 2024 at the Thief River Care Center, at the age of 90.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, October 25, 2024 at Redeemer Lutheran Church, Thief River Falls, MN with Reverend Stephanie White officiating. Burial will follow at Bethany Lutheran Church Cemetery, rural Goodridge, MN.
Visitation will be held one hour prior to the funeral service at the church.
Robert Joseph Bregier, was born August 10, 1934 to Joseph Z. and Alpha (Erickson) Bregier in Red Lake County, Red Lake Falls, MN
Robert was baptized on August 12, 1934 and confirmed on May 18, 1941 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Red Lake Falls, MN where he served as the altar boy for a few years. He attended school and is a graduate of Lafayette High School in Red Lake Falls, MN.
After graduation, Robert was employed by Robertson Lumber Company in Red Lake Falls, MN. He worked for a trucking company in Milwaukee, WI and then moved to Crookston, MN where he was assistant manager of Robertson Lumber Co. Robert moved to Fisher, MN where he was manager of Robertson Lumber Company. In 1963, he moved to Thief River Falls where he was manager of Robertson Lumber Company. He also coached “Squirts Hockey” in the Thief River School for many years. In 1973 he was employed by the City of Thief River Falls as Building Official until retirement in 1996.
Robert and his wife, Ann (Peterson) were united in marriage on August 10, 1985.
Bob enjoyed traveling the United States with Ann in their camper. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing, family and friends.
Survivors include his wife, Ann; daughters, Deborah (Jerry) Watson, Alto, TX and Heidi (Dennis) trfnews.i234.me, Alto, TX; son, Michael (Leta) Bregier, Hot Springs, AR; step-sons, Brad (Joyce) Barth, Goodridge, MN and Brian (Crystal) Barth, Ronald, WA; grandson, Ryan (Anna) Bregier, Rice, MN; great-grandchildren, Aaro Bregier, Zephryn Bregier, and Sloane Bregier; step-grandchildren, Kristy (Dave) Potter, Clearwater, MN, Ryan Horachek, Goodridge, MN, Jasmyn (Josh) Radeke and Kylee (Ryan) Symanietz; step-great grandchildren, Ryder Horachek, Jayden Horachek, Memphis Potter, Griffin Potter, Carson Radeke, Chase Radeke, Corbin Radeke, Wyatt Symanietz, and Kyah Symanietz; many cousins.
Preceding Robert in death are his parents, Joseph in 1990 and Alpha in 1934.
