Olga Gonshorawski, 98 of Roseville, MN passed away Saturday, October 29, 2022, in Regions Hospital in St. Paul at the age of 98.
Olga Strohan was born June 7, 1924, to William and Mary (Kalynka) Strohan in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada. She was born and raised on a farm just outside of Cudworth Saskatchewan, Canada, and one of eight children: Annie, Nick, Barbara, George, Mike, Bill, Olga, and Mary. Her mother passed away when she was 21. Olga moved with her sisters Annie, Barbara and Mary to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada, and this is where she met Ambrose. Olga married Ambrose Gonshorawski on November 6, 1961, in Grafton, ND, where they had two children. In 1966 the family moved to Grand Forks, ND where Olga was self-employed as a Day Care Provider, in her home, for 25 years, retiring in 1990 at the age of 66. They were married for 48 years. She was a devoted member of Holy Family Catholic Church.
Olga leaves behind her son, Rick Gonshorawski, Burnsville, MN; daughter, Donna (Jonathan) Walker, New York, NY; grandchildren, Bryce Walker(18) USAFA, Colorado Springs, CO and Sasha Walker(16) New York, NY; and sister, Mary Huntrods Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada; sister-in-law, Eleanore Loing, Grand Forks, ND; many nieces and nephews across the US and Canada.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ambrose; sisters, Annie and Barbara Strohan; brothers, Nick, George, Mike, and Bill Strohan; brother-in-law, Simon Kroll, Lionel Huntrods, and Vernon Loing; sister-in-law, Sophie, Mary, and Jane Strohan, and Evangeline Kroll.
Mass of Christian Burial: 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 4, 2022, in the Norman Funeral Home Chapel.
Visitation: 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home on Friday.
Burial: Memorial Park South Cemetery, Grand Forks, ND.
