Obituary | Kenneth Myron Sorenson of McIntosh, Minnesota

Kenneth Myron Sorenson passed away on April 11, 2025, at McIntosh Senior Living in McIntosh, Minnesota.

Kenny was born in Trail, Minnesota, to Paul and Margaret (Knutson) Sorenson. After completing his high school education, he proudly served in the United States Army. Following his military service, Kenny built a career in the auto repair industry as an auto body repairman and painter, dedicating himself to his craft with skill and precision.

He was a longtime member of the VFW in Oklee, reflecting his continued connection to fellow veterans and his commitment to service. Kenny had a deep passion for snowmobiles, cars, motorcycles, fishing, and hunting—interests that brought him joy throughout his life.
Kenny was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Rosalyn Ann Sorenson (Brandt); his parents, Paul and Margaret; and his brother Dale Sorenson.

He will forever remain in the hearts of his loved ones, son Mitchell Brandt Sorenson and daughter-in-law LaVonne of Isanti, Minnesota; grandchildren Eric Sorenson of Lino Lakes, Minnesota; Molly Carlson and husband Zac of Page, North Dakota; and Maggie Nguyen and husband Giang of Isanti, Minnesota. He also leaves behind five great-grandchildren—Emmitt, Adaline, Lucy, Elsie, and Theodore—all of Page, North Dakota. Kenny is further survived by his sister Judy Berg of Phoenix, Arizona; and brother Jim Sorenson and wife Bev of White Bear Lake, Minnesota.

The service to honor Kenny’s life will be held at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN with the time and date pending.
