Debi Henry

October 2, 1951 – October 3, 2022

Debora “Debi” Henry, a caring wife, mother, nana, sister, friend and nurse.  She was known as being vivacious and loved by so many.  Debi lived her life to the fullest, often making fast friends with everyone she met.  

Debi was born to Donald and Lillian Klaers on October 2nd, 1951 and went home to be with the Lord on October 3rd, 2022, at the age of 71.

Debi enjoyed spending time with her loving husband Mick (Mike), her three children,13 grandchildren, her dog Teddy and many dear friends.  She loved to watch sunsets at her cabin in Siren, Wisconsin, go on boat rides, cuddle with her dog, Teddy, watch the birds from her deck, ride horses, putter in her garden, attend musical events, cheer on her grandkids, watch the fall leaves change color, host her family during holidays, and deep clean everything. She had such a caring heart, often opening up her home to family and friends as needed.  Debi was always doing something! 

Debi was a passionate and caring nurse at Abbott Northwestern Hospital for 41 years before retiring.  She continued being “Nurse Debi” for all her loved ones whenever the opportunity presented itself.  She was so full of knowledge and always wanted to help!  

Debi was preceded in death by both of her parents.  She is survived by her husband, Mick; her children Cory (Chantel) Ellingson, Rebecca Peterson, Katie (Matt) Belair as well as grandchildren: Andrew Ellingson, Dylan Johnson, Lucas Johnson, Cullen Peterson, Ally Peterson, Emmett Ellingson, Gavin Belair, Michael Johnson, Rain Ellingson, Chris Belair, Ash Ellingson, Nate Belair and Nicole Johnson.  She is also survived by 4 brothers: Nick (Mary) Klaers, Dan (Sandy) Klaers, Steve (Vicki)  Klaers and Tony (Cindy) Klaers, 2 sisters: Mary Jo (Lee) Herr, Terri (Jim) Kunze, life long friend Kari Schold, nieces, nephews and friends galore.  Debi was a much loved woman that made such a great impact on so many lives.  


A “Celebration of Life and Memorial Service” will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at White Funeral Home 20134 Kenwood Trail, Lakeville, Minnesota 55044.  Visitation will be held from 1-4pm, with a service to follow.  The family encourages everyone to dress in vibrant, fall colors, or yellow, on this day. Casual attire is encouraged.   In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Animal Humane Society.
