Brian Everett Naplin was born September 1, 1970, in Bismark, ND son of Charles and Mae Naplin (Schwede). He was baptized in Bismark, ND and later confirmed at Black River Lutheran Church.  In 1975 the family moved home to the family farm in rural Thief River Falls, MN where he went through elementary, middle and high school.

In 1989 Brian graduated from Lincoln High School and then went on to work at ODC, Inc where he worked for over 25 years.  He lived in Goodridge, MN until 2016 when he moved to Big Lake, MN to live with his brother Scott where he worked at Options, Inc.  Brian enjoyed his job there and liked getting out into the community to help various businesses in the area.

Brian truly loved his family and being able to go on various trips with them over the years, especially the trip to Pikes Peak and Rocky Mountain National Park.  He had a t-shirt from almost every place that he had visited.  He was also an experienced walleye fisherman and loved fishing on Rainy Lake.  Brian was an avid TV and movie watcher and could tell you facts and tidbits on most movies or shows that he had seen over the years.  He also enjoyed going bowling and playing it on the big screen TV where he usually came out the winner.  He was an avid MN Vikings fan and cheered them on frequently.  Brian loved home cooked meals, bacon cheeseburgers and had quite the sweet tooth.

Brian had many friends throughout his life and enjoyed spending time with them, having coffee, talking and getting caught up with them.

A special thank you to all who have cared for and participated in Brian’s life over the years.

Brian is survived by his brother Scott (Terri) of Big Lake, MN, niece Kimberly of West Fargo, ND, stepmom Sharon of Thief River Falls along with many extended family members.  He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Mae
