Bernard Plante was born May 21, 1953  in Red Lake Falls, MN son of Samuel and Mable (Boucher) Plante. He was baptized and confirmed at the St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Oklee, MN. He attended Oklee Public School and graduated with the 1972 class. Bernard was nicknamed Pete and that name seemed just right for him. Most people around the Oklee area knew him as Pete.

When he was young his brother, Lawrence bought him a small motorcycle and he would go trapping pocket gophers, mink, fox and muskrats.

After graduation he worked building grain bins, he also worked for Eickoff Construction C0. in Crookston, MN, and worked at Detroiter Mobile Homes for many years. He then began working for Marvin Windows & Doors in Warroad, until his retirement.

Pete liked to go deer hunting, fishing, riding around the country, watching football games and going to visit his family and friends when he would come to his hometown of Oklee.

Pete had a heart of gold. He would help the family with anything they needed done. He will be dearly missed.

Pete is survived by his sister Gladys of Oklee, MN, and brother Clarence of Oklee, MN.

He is preceded in death by his parents Samuel and Mable; brothers Leonard, Lawrence, Vern, Stephen and Adelore “Dewey” and an infant brother.

May his memory be blessed.
