Northwest Minnesota Authorities Continue Search for Murder Suspect, Eric Reinbold

PENNINGTON COUNTY, MN (trfnews.i234.me) The latest on the search for Pennington County, Minnesota murder suspect, Eric Reinbold. His wife was found murdered a week ago last Friday and Reinbold remains on the run.
Neil Berg here with a bit of an update on the uh search for eric reinbold unfortunately uh not a lot of new information i’m just going through uh saint olaire now this is about 20 miles west of the reinbold farm where eric reinbold’s wife was found murdered a week a week ago last friday and eric reinbold was named a suspect in her murder and he’s been at large since then now the reason i made the trip up here right now is i got a tip there was a large law enforcement presence off highway 32 here to the west and uh what i’ve been able to find out is it was apparently related to a uh to uh pipeline protesters line three protesters who have a camp uh set up the road uh ways up here this is uh just south of thief river falls now as i said i was able to find out that the large law enforcement presence uh west of here to the left of your screen was connected to some type of incident connected with protesters no details on that yet uh but as far as the search for eric reinbold uh not much new information yet uh last friday uh we’re here in pennington county now sheriff ray kuzney has said they’re expanding their search area the area where the murder occurred was thoroughly searched with dogs foot searches drones and just about everything else so that search area for reinvolt has been expanded so when i heard there’s a large law enforcement presence west of here decided to check it out um and i also just got off the phone with sheriff mitch bernstein of red light county which is just south of here where oakland is located kind of considered eric reinbold’s hometown their farm set is close to the county line he says uh they’ve been still taking tips just about every day and checking them out but uh so far nothing uh concrete has come out of anything uh that they’ve received so they just checked out another tip today people see unusual things or strange things happen uh maybe things missing from their farmstead law enforcement is asking anyone who notices anything suspicious go ahead and report it okay and here we come up to the protest camp here just south of uh thief river falls on highway 32. get out of the line of traffic here you can see still quite a few folks up here protesters and just beyond their tents and uh cars you see uh the fencing surrounded that’s part of the line three uh uh construction crew up there um we’ll zoom in here a bit for you you can see that fencing that’s part of the line three uh construction outfit uh they’re uh boring under the uh red lake river here with the pipeline so again the search continues for eric reinbold if you have any information you’re asked to contact law enforcement we’ll keep you updated if anything new happens in northwest minnesota i’m Neil Berg reporting for trfnews.i234.me

  1. If more people went out looking for him there would be more tips to law enforcement. I personally have the time where I could go driving around looking for signs, but truly the locals in those areas would know best if anything is out of place or someone hiding in the woods. But I can also understand the locals being scared to go out and investigate considering he is dangerous… so it's a bit complicated.
