GRAND FORKS, N.D. (trfnews.i234.me) – The No. 10/9 North Dakota Fighting Hawks stormed past San Diego with a powerful 41-24 victory on Saturday at the Alerus Center. Trailing 17-10 early in the third quarter, the Hawks erupted with a 24-point surge, outgaining San Diego 197-34 in yardage in the third alone, and never looked back.

Quarterback Simon Romfo connected with Bo Belquist for two touchdowns, including a game-changing 69-yard strike that tied the game at 17-17. Gaven Ziebarth added a one-yard touchdown, while a crucial interception by Devin Hembry set up another score. C.J. Elrichs capped off the third quarter with a field goal, extending North Dakota’s lead to 34-17.

Sawyer Seidl delivered on the ground with 123 rushing yards, including a 70-yard touchdown. Romfo threw for 159 yards, while Belquist shined with 116 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
