JAMESTOWN, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – The North Dakota Highway Patrol is urging anyone who witnessed or has information about a crash near Jamestown on Monday that resulted in the deaths of two children to come forward. Witnesses can contact the Patrol at 701-328-2447.
Sergeant Malifa of the North Dakota Highway Patrol provided an update regarding the crash, which occurred west of Jamestown late Monday afternoon. The driver, identified as 30-year-old Stacia Lawson of Cleveland, North Dakota, is the aunt of the deceased children. The case remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed yet.
Family members have identified the two deceased children as 10-year-old Kamari Lawson and 7-year-old Logan Lawson. The incident occurred when Lawson’s Suburban went into a ditch along I-94, overturned into a slough, and caused the deaths. The other children involved in the crash were hospitalized, with most suffering minor injuries, although one is in critical condition.
The crash involved seven children, two of whom are Lawson’s, and five are from the man she lived with in Cleveland, North Dakota. The community is still awaiting further reports from the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
