North Dakota Felon Indicted for Conspiracy to Distribute Fentanyl in Minnesota

In a significant development aimed at combating the growing menace of illicit substances, United States Attorney Andrew M. Luger has announced that Jake Noland Northern, a 45-year-old North Dakota resident with a history of felony convictions, stands accused of conspiring to distribute fentanyl in Minnesota and surrounding areas.

According to official reports, this alleged conspiracy began as early as February 2023 and continued until approximately April 21st. The indictment filed against Northern charges him with one count of conspiracy to distribute the highly potent opioid.

Northern’s initial appearance before Magistrate Judge Douglas L. Micko took place on October 8th in U.S. District Court, where he was subsequently ordered detained pending trial.
