Norman County (trfnews.i234.me)In a tragic incident late Thursday night, April 17, 2025, off-duty Norman County Deputy Christopher Lee, 41, was seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle near the intersection of County Highway 29 and 460th Street, approximately nine miles east of Twin Valley, Minnesota.

According to the Norman County Sheriff’s Office, the sequence of events began when a 2014 Chrysler 200, driven by 34-year-old Dalton Moore of Twin Valley, struck a dog on County Highway 29. Deputy Lee, who was in the vicinity, attempted to assist the injured animal. While crossing the highway to reach the dog, he was hit by a westbound Chevy Tahoe driven by 21-year-old Jaidan Bartz, also of Twin Valley.

Emergency responders arrived promptly, and Deputy Lee was airlifted to a hospital in Fargo with serious injuries. Both drivers remained at the scene and assisted until first responders took over.

The Minnesota State Patrol has been called in to assist with the ongoing investigation.
