Accident and no insurance

On Nov. 12 at 1:52 a.m., the sheriff’s office received a report of an accident near the intersection of Center Street East and 420th Avenue Southeast. At the time of the accident, Colleen Renee Erickson of Red Lake was driving a 2008 GMC Sierra eastbound on Center Street East. According to the report, Erickson lost control of the pickup truck, which then rolled into a ditch. No injuries were reported. Erickson has been cited for no insurance.

On Nov. 11 at 5:29 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the Greenwood Street railroad underpass. At the time of the accident, Steven W. Braun of Roseau was driving a 1998 GMC Sierra eastbound on Greenwood Street. According to the report, he was nearing the underpass when his pickup truck lost traction and skidded into the north wall of the underpass. No injuries were reported.

On Nov. 12 at 3:17 p.m., police received a report of an accident at the Thief River Falls Area Food Shelf. At the time of the accident, Christine A. Christian of Thief River Falls was driving a 2002 Buick Rendezvous through the parking lot. According to the report, she accelerated and her vehicle struck the building and then a parked 2011 GMC Sierra owned by Ferse P. Basargin of Lengby. No injuries were reported.

Domestic assault

On Nov. 13 at 10:43 a.m., police received a report of a domestic assault in the 1200 block of Centennial Dr. Chung Van Duong, 38, Thief River Falls, has been cited for domestic assault. He was arrested. Duong allegedly assaulted a woman. She didn’t seek medical attention.

Burglary

On Nov. 13 at 2:09 p.m., police received a report of a burglary at an apartment building at 416 Main Ave. N. Someone kicked in a door to a vacant apartment and stole some items that had been left behind.
