26-year-old Leland janat Jr of Grand Forks is facing a string of charges connected to an alleged theft according to court documents in January 18th a man reported he left his car running on the 100 block of North Third Street in Downtown Grand Forks when janat allegedly got in it and started driving away the victim stated he opened the car door and an altercation ensued with janat kicking the victim and the victim uh taking janat shoes janat told the victim please don’t hurt me I’m new in town a took off running and was soon arrested also in possession of meth and stolen credit cards he’s now charged with attempted theft the car theft the credit cards unauthorized use of personal identifying information possession of meth and false information to law enforcement I’m Neil Berg reporting for I trfnews.i234.me
