NEW YORK MILLS, Minn. — A New York Mills man is facing domestic assault charges again, including a felony count tied to a prior domestic violence conviction.
Bryan Mark Ternus, of New York Mills, has been charged with two counts of felony domestic assault. One of the counts is alleged to qualify as a felony because of a previous domestic violence conviction within the last 10 years.

According to court documents, on Dec. 28, a New York Mills police officer was dispatched after a woman reported her head had been bashed into a wall.
The officer arrived at the scene, and the woman told police Ternus allegedly threatened to kill her, then tackled her, causing her head to hit the wall, according to the complaint.
The case remains pending in court.
