SPRINGFIELD, Mo – Norah Roberts led the North Dakota State women’s golf team to a tie for second-place at the MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial at Twin Oaks Country Club on Tuesday afternoon.
Roberts (72-72-73 – 217) shot a 73 (+2) in the final round to finish in fourth with a final score of 217 (+4). Roberts tallied birdies on hole eight and hole 11 on the final day.
Hannah Dunk (74-75-71 – 220) shot a new season-low in an even 71 in the final round with one birdie and an eagle on the final hole. This lifted Dunk five spots into a tie for sixth place with a final score of 220 (+7).
Madi Hicks (75-73-76 – 224) and Cora Larson (77-71-76 – 224) ended the tournament in a tie for ninth place. Hicks posted birdies on holes 10 and 11, while Larson also carded birdies on holes five and six.
Elise Hoven (76-72-77 – 225) rounded out the Bison group just one shot behind after carding a 77 (+6) on the day and a final score of 225 (+12).
The Bison (297-288-296–881) put together a final round score of 296 for a total score of 881, which earned the team a tie for second with Oral Roberts (293-285-303 – 881). Omaha took the tournament title with a total score of 872 (294-284-294).
