NDSU Women’s Golf Finishes Fifth at Diane Thomason Invitational

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Madi Hicks tied for fifth place to bring the North Dakota State women’s golf team to a fifth place finish on Tuesday at the Diane Thomason Invitational at Finkbine Golf Course.

Hicks (76-71-78–225) carded two birdies in the final round to end +6 and with a top five finish in the tournament tied for fifth place.

Elise Hoven (73-78-77–228) opened the day with a birdie on the first hole and shot a +5 to lift her 10 spots into a tie for 11th place.

Hannah Dunk (79-71-83–233) recorded +11 in the final round to finish tied for 25th place.  Cora Larson (80-79-81–240) finished tied for 51st place, and Norah Roberts (75-81-86–242) came in a tied for 56th place.

The Bison (303-299-319–921) finished +31 in the final round to secure a fifth place finish in the 15-team tournament. Iowa (288-299-319–906) won the tournament with Wisconsin (299-295-318–912) and Montana State (300-298-316–914) rounding out the top three.

The Bison will be back in action later this month for the Rainbow Wahine Invitational in Kapolei, Hawaii on Oct. 21-23 at Kapolei Golf Club.
