NDSU Partners With CUE Audio for New Game Day Light Show

FARGO, N.D. – The North Dakota State University athletic department is excited to announce a new partnership with CUE Audio for the 2023-24 academic year. During the winter sports season, fans inside the Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex will participate like never before – using their smartphones and CUE Live technology to create a light show during pregame introductions for the Bison student-athletes.

To participate, fans simply download the NDSU Athletics app from their app store prior to heading to the game. When the announcer prompts the audience and lights go down, fans will open the app, click the “Bison Lights” option from the main menu, and CUE’s inaudible triggers will take over, pulsing fans’ smartphone flashlights and LED screens in sync to the beat of the intro video music.

CUE technology doesn’t require cellular service, Bluetooth or a Wi-Fi connection to work, eliminating the connectivity issues that typically plague sporting events.

“We love partnering with universities to create new traditions, and it was a privilege to work alongside North Dakota State University,” said Jameson Rader, CEO of CUE Audio.

“We’re always looking for new ways to bring energy and excitement to our game day environments,” said Cam Bastian, NDSU associate athletic director for marketing and fan engagement. “CUE Audio can help us in our goal to create the best home court advantage in the Summit League. We’re excited to be working with such a great partner.”
