FARGO, N.D. – North Dakota State was named Stats Perform FCS National Team of the Week on Monday, Oct. 7, following a 41-17 victory over North Dakota in the FCS season’s first matchup of top-10 ranked teams.

NDSU (5-1, 2-0 MVFC) scored on six of its first seven possessions with quarterback Cam Miller accounting for 207 yards of total offense and three touchdowns as the Bison built a 38-10 lead late in the third quarter.

Sam Jung led the Bison defense with six tackles and defensive end Dylan Hendricks made three stops including one sack, a forced fumble, and a fumble recovery. NDSU held UND to a season-low 101 yards rushing.

North Dakota State is back on the road this week to face Southern Illinois in the ESPN+ exclusive Missouri Valley Football Conference Game of the Week. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12, at Saluki Stadium in Carbondale, Ill.
