The Series
The Bison and Oral Roberts will meet for the 19th time in series history on Thursday. The Bison lead the series with a 10-5-3 mark, dating back to the first-ever meeting on October 26, 2007. ORU has won the last three, including a postseason game in extra time in 2022. NDSU is 7-2-1 at home against the Golden Eagles.

NDSU is 2-12-1 all-time against Denver dating back to October 27, 2013, with the 16th meeting set for Sunday. The Bison snapped a nine-game losing skid to the Pioneers last season with a 1-0 win in the season finale. NDSU is 1-6 all time in Denver.

Wrapping Last Week
The Bison had just one game, picking up a 2-1 win on the road at North Dakota on Sunday. Gabrielle Garrett scored in the first minute, but NDSU would allow the tying goal in the eighth, before being reduced to 10 with a red card in the 21st. Despite being down a player, NDSU controlled most of the game and Morgan Russmann scored the game-winning goal in the 52nd minute.

Russmann On League Points Run
Morgan Russmann scored her fifth goal of the season to lift NDSU to a win over North Dakota on Sunday. In three league games, Russmann has scored twice and also had an assist. The freshman scored in the league opener at Omaha and then added her first career assist at Kansas City, setting up Hannah Arnold’s winner.

Garrett Strikes Fastest Goal of Season
Gabrielle Garrett scored her second goal of the season on Sunday, finding the top corner with the first shot of the game, just 54 seconds in. It is the fastest goal for NDSU this season and the quickest since Paige Goaley scored 37 seconds into the season opener against Tarleton State in 2022, which is also the school record.

Arnold Developing Offensive Momentum
Since missing the Minnesota game with an injury, Hannah Arnold has made a splash offensively. The sophomore scored her first career goal in her return against Saint Ambrose. A week later, Arnold added her second goal, as she broke a scoreless tie in a 1-0 victory over Kansas City. At North Dakota, Arnold’s cross set up Gabrielle Garrett’s first minute goal, giving Arnold two goals and an assist in the last four games. NDSU is 4-0-0 when Arnold has recorded a point this season.

What’s Next?
North Dakota State begins a three-game home stand in league play to wrap the regular season, welcoming in South Dakota State on Thursday for a 6 p.m. kickoff at Dacotah Field. The Bison then close out the week hosting South Dakota on Sunday with a 1 p.m. kickoff.
